"Our love come what may will never age a day~"

I was asked an interesting question. Why I pick Plantman to represent me and why when drawn out of the Rockman 'armor' I picture myself as that pink/red haired boy.

There's a variety of reasons but I tend to think about him as my 'little bit of peter pan complex'. I'm not afraid of growing up, and I would like to think mentally speaking I have a fairly decent degree of maturity and enough common sense I like to exercise for my convenience. (This ties to my belief I am my primary concern, so being okay with myself and happy with myself is paramount if I want whatever bits of my personal presence be of any possitive 'influence' to those I interact with and those I consider friends.)

Anyway, getting back in track, my 'lant' personna ties a lot with a sense of potential neutrality or duality. Technically he is a boy, who looks rather affeminate in appearance and speaks with a girl voice. That bit is kind of tied with Voice acting in which, in many countries, boys are played by women/girls. He's a certain duality, my 'male gender role' aspects intermixed with my 'female gender role' aspects.

Anyway, Plant represents, I suppose, a certain androginity to myself. He's a boy, but many times people look at him and think he's a girl. It's a similar thing I experienced during my endeavors in the internet, if not told or made aware I am a female, many people I interact with, even females, get the impression I am a male. I am not enterely sure why, but it's happened many times. The fact I was a tomboy as I was growing up might or might not have something to do with that.

Regardless, in reversed ways, we both seem to end up giving the impression we're 'the opposite gender'. In another way Plantman also represents my clinging to a child-like hopefulness. I understand many would consider me naive, and perhaps that's also why many consider me to be younger than I really am, but at the end of the day, most of the time, I am happy. He represents that to a degree.

And because Plantman is a child, he also represents in part my asexuality. He's not curious, he's not interested. He just is and doesn't care for dates, for lovers, for whether he's heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, etc. He just is and is not complicated by all that stuff. He doesn't have to have breasts or a thin figure to represent my physical fantasies. Being a boy means I don't have to 'take off' my own rack either. Other than his 'baby face' and pink hair, there's nothing about him that is a fantasy of mine regarding my own appearance, and technically... not much of that either. I don't long for pink hair myself. I experimented once, that was enough, if anything I'd like my hair to be black XP He's neutral enough to represent me without adding or taking off things about myself.

Overall, I use Plant as my personna because he represents me in 'spirit', and is neutral enough in his appearance for me to not be concerned about things such as physical attributes, gender conventions, sexuality or any of those complicated things. He's simple, he's happy, he lives, he hopes, he plays, he wants to help those he cares for, he loves in that innocent/platonic way, he's empathic. That's me.

My newest ID actually is a little part of a triad about that. I tend to think there's parts of me that match Prowl and parts of me that match Jazz. That's the three parts of me, the serious, responsible, collected part. The caring, joyful, optimistic, emotional and spontaneous. (but don't piss me off or that part gets bitchy), merged in the little flowery child.

Stupid or laughable as it is, that's the reason Plant's my avatar. Is not that I wish to be a boy or a male, because I'm content enough being a woman, thank you very much.
